Be More.

What outcome(s) would have the greatest impact on how you, or your team, work?

We start with your outcomes and work our way backward.

Overview

NorthPointe runs on one idea: start with the outcome and work backward.

Everything we do lives in one of two practices. Advisory is counsel, people who have spent two decades inside the public sector guiding companies through it. Solutions is software, products purpose-built around the work itself.

The two share the same team and the same intelligence. Clients who come for one tend to find the other. This page is the whole firm in one view.

Advisory

Two decades inside the Florida ecosystem.

Solutions

Purpose-built around the outcomes that matter.

State Government

We help vendors navigate the machine that is the State of Florida: the agencies, the procurement process, the people, and the timing that decides who wins.

That means knowing which agency owns the problem you solve, how the money flows to it, and when the window opens. We map your offering to the agencies most likely to buy, build the relationships that matter, and position you before the solicitation ever drops.

From first interest to final award, you get a guide who has walked this ecosystem for two decades and knows the difference between activity and progress.

Government

Re:Gov, our platform for the public sector: staff augmentation, grants, audit, derelict vessels, and public records, built under records law and public scrutiny.

National

We help vendors manage their lobbying investment across the country: one clear view of engagements, deliverables, and value, statehouse by statehouse.

Most companies with a multi-state footprint are carrying a dozen retainers and no scoreboard. We inventory every engagement, define what each one should deliver, and report what the spend actually bought, session by session.

The result is discipline: renewals decided on evidence, gaps covered before they cost you, and a number your CFO can defend.

Business

Market intelligence for the companies that sell to government, and one workspace for the professionals who carry the number, whatever they sell.

Consumers

Tools that give people their time back, starting with the whole year on one page.

Proviso

From Budget to Bid to Award

A solicitation is the last public step of a long story. The money appears a year earlier in a budget line, moves through committees and reports, becomes a bid, and ends in an award. Proviso watches that whole arc, appropriations, solicitations, awards, and the public records in between, personalized to your business. Florida-deep today, built for every state.

Daily portal sweeps ~22,500 commodity codes 5-year agency history 2026/27 budget analysis
What it does

The whole market, matched to your business.

Not a national database you filter down. A board that starts as yours, driven by a lens you define once: plain-language keywords plus named sets of official commodity codes.

The market, on one screen

At a Glance maps the whole Florida open market, agencies by solicitation type, with a fit count per cell. New Today shows the daily delta from the latest sweep.

Personalized to your business

My Keywords and Commodity Sets, drawn from Florida's full catalog of roughly 22,500 codes, drive every fit count and your Matched Opportunities feed.

Your pipeline, tracked

Star a solicitation to build My Bids and watch close dates on the calendar. Reviewed items grey out, so what's new is always obvious.

Look back to look forward

Open any agency's five-year history, filtered to your lens, and see how that organization actually buys in your space.

Ask Proviso

A plain-language question box over all of it: "What's closing next week that fits us?" Answers scoped to your plan's data.

PRRs, watchlists & alerts

Flag bids, appropriations, or reports for a public-records request and track each one. Email alerts now, SMS at the top tier.

The differentiator

Budget as a leading indicator.

The 2026/2027 Budget Analysis maps state appropriations and legislative-mandated reports to capabilities, so you see funded demand before it becomes a solicitation. It is the productized version of the line-by-line budget work NorthPointe has always done for clients, and it is an edge the incumbents don't lead with.

Solutions

Purpose-built around the outcomes that matter.

NorthPointe Solutions is our software practice: products for the agencies that run government, the companies that sell to it, and the professionals who carry the number. Each one started as work we did by hand for clients, and each is built around a single outcome.

We show working software. Demos run on live instances, never slideware. If we can't show it running, we don't sell it.

Industries

Government, and everyone who works with it.

NorthPointe was built by people who have sat on every side of the table: inside agencies, across from them as advisors, and in the seller's chair with a number to hit. Each industry we serve gets solutions shaped by that experience, not retrofitted from a commercial product.

Three audiences, one supply chain. Agencies buy the work, vendors win the work, and professionals carry the number. We build for all three because no deal, grant, or contract happens without them meeting.

Public sector

State & local government

Agencies run staff augmentation, grants, and internal audit under state term contracts, records law, and public scrutiny. Commercial tools treat those as edge cases; we treat them as the spec.

  • Staff-aug requisitions, candidate scoring, and timesheets under ITSA rules
  • Grant lifecycles with a defensible record at every step

Procurement

The money is decided a year before the bid drops

October 14, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Most vendors discover a Florida opportunity the day it posts. By then, the story is almost over. The agency has already decided it has a problem, asked for the money, defended the request through committee, and watched it survive conference. The solicitation is the last public step of a process that started a year or more earlier, and the vendors who first hear about it at the end are competing on price against vendors who helped shape the beginning.

The real leading indicator of government demand is the appropriation, not the solicitation. When a line item appears in an agency's legislative budget request, someone inside that agency has already written a justification for it. When it moves through the committee process, staff have already asked the questions a bidder would want answered. Proviso language often spells out what the money may be spent on in more detail than the eventual bid ever will. All of this is public, dated, and searchable long before a procurement officer opens a file.

What watching the money changes

Reading the budget changes a vendor's calendar. Instead of a frantic three-week response window, you get months: time to understand the agency's actual operating problem, meet the people who own it, and demonstrate capability before anyone is scoring anything. It also changes your odds. A bid you first see the day it posts is a coin flip against better-prepared competitors. A bid you watched form from the appropriation forward is one you had months to get ready for.

It changes qualification too. Budget lines tell you which agencies have real money against your category this cycle, which lets you stop chasing solicitations that were always going to an incumbent and spend the effort where the demand is funded and fresh.

The discipline is simple to describe and tedious to do by hand: watch the budget lines where money first appears, follow them into the solicitations they become, and track the awards they end in. That arc, appropriations to solicitations to awards, is the whole story of public demand, and reading it early is the entire advantage.

Compliance

Designing for Chapter 119 from the first line of code

September 2, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Florida's public records law does not care how your software was architected. If a record exists in a system doing the public's business, it is reachable, and the custodian has to be able to produce it, redact what is exempt, and stand behind the result. Most commercial software treats this as an export problem to be solved later. In government, it is a design constraint that belongs in the data model on day one.

The difference shows up everywhere once you look for it. Retention is a property of the record, so the schema has to know what kind of record each row is and how long its class must live. Deletion is never really deletion; a system that hard-deletes has already failed the first records request that asks for what was there last year. The audit log has to be append-only and non-editable, because an audit trail that administrators can edit will not hold up when it matters.

Bolting it on costs more than building it in

Teams that defer this work meet it again at the worst time: mid-request, mid-audit, or mid-protest. Reconstructing who saw what and when, from application logs that were never designed to answer that question, is slow and expensive, and it usually happens on a deadline someone else set. Building it in is cheaper in every dimension: the file opening is logged as it happens, the retention clock starts at creation, and the redaction workflow lives next to the record it redacts.

There is also a market reason to care. Agency evaluators have learned to ask how a system handles records law, and the vendors with a real answer stand out immediately from the vendors with a roadmap slide. Records-readiness is not overhead on government software; it is a requirement of the market, and the vendors who handle it well earn a kind of trust a demo cannot produce.

Artificial intelligence

AI that a public auditor can actually trust

July 21, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Government is the one market where your AI will eventually have to explain itself under oath, or close to it. Every score that touches an award decision is one records request, one protest, or one audit away from being read aloud in a conference room by someone looking for a reason to doubt it. AI built for that room looks different from AI built for a product demo.

Three properties make the difference. First, evidence-cited output: a score is only usable if it points at the exact language in the document that produced it, so a human can check the work instead of taking the model's word for it. Second, documented overrides: people must be able to change any machine score, and the system must record who changed it, when, and why, because the override trail is what proves a human was in charge. Third, versioned criteria: when the scoring rubric changes, the old rubric has to remain attached to the old decisions, or history stops being defensible.

The accountable human is the feature

None of this limits what the AI can do as an assistant. It can read a thousand pages of submissions overnight, rank candidates against published criteria, flag the quote that does not match its source, and draft the memo a reviewer edits. What it cannot be is the decision-maker of record. The name on the decision belongs to a person, and the system's job is to make that person faster and better documented, not invisible.

Vendors pitching black-box scoring to public agencies are selling future litigation. The agencies know it, which is why the question in every serious evaluation is no longer whether you use AI but whether your AI can survive scrutiny.

Procurement

What Florida’s ITSA vehicle really asks of a staffing platform

May 28, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Florida's IT staff augmentation vehicle reads, at first glance, like a simple arrangement: agencies post requisitions, vendors submit candidates, work gets done on timesheets. Run one requisition through it and the simplicity disappears fast. The vehicle's real demands are procedural, and they are the kind that spreadsheets and inboxes fail without anyone noticing.

The contract expects fairness you can prove, not fairness you assert. Vendor participation has to be tracked, solicitation notices documented, and evaluation conducted against criteria that will read sensibly months later. Every candidate decision is a small procurement, and each one generates the same obligations as a big one: who was considered, how they were scored, who decided, and why.

What software should automate, and what it should not

The clerical layer is machine work. Requisition intake, distribution, submission tracking, force-ranking against stated criteria, interview scheduling, engagement paperwork, weekly timesheet approval, and the running burn-down of contracted hours are all structured, repetitive, and unforgiving of gaps, which is precisely the profile of work that software should own. AI can read the resumes and produce a documented first ranking, provided every score cites its evidence and every override is logged.

What should stay human is judgment: the interview, the final selection, the call on whether a candidate who scores well will actually survive the agency's environment. A platform earns its keep by making the human decisions fewer, better framed, and fully documented, so that when the vehicle's paperwork is examined, the record is already sitting there, complete, in the order someone would ask for it.

Grants

Closeout that survives an audit starts at intake

April 9, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Every grants administrator knows the closeout scramble: the award ended months ago, the auditor's list is long, and the record of what happened lives in four inboxes, two shared drives, and one departed employee's memory. The scramble feels like a closeout problem, but it started at intake, two years earlier.

A defensible grant record is designed at the beginning, when designing it is nearly free. Application materials and scoring rubrics captured at intake become the first chapter of the file. Awards tied to budget lines mean every later drawdown lands against a number that was approved on a known date by a known person. Reimbursements that require their documentation at submission, rather than chasing it at year end, assemble the evidence while the evidence still exists.

Monitoring is the middle of the record, not an interruption

Sub-recipient monitoring works the same way. Site visits, findings, corrective actions, and responses filed as they occur turn monitoring from an annual confrontation into a running narrative, and the narrative is the thing the auditor actually wants. By the time closeout arrives, there is nothing to assemble. The file has been assembling itself since the solicitation posted.

The test of a grants process is not whether the money went out. It is whether, three years later, an auditor can reconstruct every decision from the record alone. The programs that pass that test are the ones that set the file up correctly at intake and let it build itself from there.

The dozen-tab problem: where an AE’s day actually goes

February 17, 2026 · NorthPointe Insights

Watch an account executive work for an hour and count the tabs. Email for the thread with procurement. Calendar for the demo slot. The CRM, open but three days stale. Chat, where the sales engineer answered the pricing question. A spreadsheet of renewal dates. The proposal doc. Each tab is reasonable. Together they are where the day goes.

The cost is not the clicking, it is the reassembly. Every switch forces the question: what was I doing, and what matters most right now? Selling runs on exactly that judgment, and the dozen-tab day spends it on navigation instead. None of that reassembly moves a deal forward.

Why another dashboard is not the answer

The industry's reflex is a new dashboard, which is really a thirteenth tab with better charts. A dashboard summarizes the day; it does not tell you what to do next. What a carrying-the-number seller needs is narrower and harder: every source they already use, pulled into one prioritized list, ordered by what moves revenue today, with the context attached so acting takes one step instead of five.

We built Closer because we carried the number ourselves and knew exactly where the day was leaking. The test we held it to is the only one that matters: at nine in the morning, does the seller know the single next thing to do, and can they do it from right there? When the answer is yes, the tabs stop mattering and the day goes back to closing.

Advisory

Your guide through the public sector.

NorthPointe Advisory is our counsel practice: guidance for the companies that navigate state government and the teams that manage lobbying investments across the country. Every engagement starts with the outcome that matters, and every one works backward to the path.

We've sat on both sides of the table. Two decades walking the capitol, on the vendor side and the government side. If we haven't lived it, we don't advise on it.

State Government

From interest to award

Most companies find Florida opportunities when they post, which is a year too late. Advisory builds the whole growth engine: the relationships to hold, the agencies to know, the budget lines to watch, how to position before the solicitation, and how to pursue it once it drops. When the path runs through the legislature or an agency head's office, our government relations practice carries the case there too.

Advisory clients work with the same intelligence that powers Proviso, and when they want standing deal support, SalesNow carries the practice into their pursuit teams: curated demos, proposals, and pricing help.

Companies with statehouse engagements across the country rarely have one clear view of what they are buying. Advisory brings the discipline: an inventory of every engagement, what each firm owes you, what it delivered, and what the spend returned, statehouse by statehouse.

We've sat on every side of these engagements, so we know what good looks like, what a deliverable should be, and when a retainer has gone quiet.

The practice

Where we engage

Engagement inventory. Every firm, every state, every retainer and scope, in one view.
Deliverable and value review. What each engagement owes you, what it delivered, and what it returned.
Spend strategy. Where to add, where to cut, and where one firm can carry two states.
Session reporting. One roll-up of activity and outcomes across every statehouse, every cycle.
Let's talk

Bring us your next pursuit.

We will tell you honestly whether it's winnable, and what it takes.

Company

Public service is personal.

NorthPointe began in the halls of Florida government: agencies, budgets, and procurements, walked by hand on behalf of clients. What we learned there did not fit in a filing cabinet, so we built it into things that work while you sleep.

The firm is the product. Everything we sell, counsel or software, is the same two decades of experience in a different form. Be More is not a slogan, it is the standard we hold the work to.

Our story

From the capitol to the product

The expertise we used to deliver one engagement at a time now works for every client, every day.

We are former government staff. We know the effort it takes to serve the citizenry, and we know what it takes to compete for the state's work, because we have sat on both sides of the table. That experience is our foundation, and it is our passion.

Today the firm drives two business units: Solutions and Advisory. The suite ships as Re:Gov, the platform for the agencies that run government; Proviso, SalesNow, and LobbyTeam for the companies that compete for its work; and Closer and MyAnnualCalendar for the professionals who carry the number.

Advisory services

The firm behind the platforms

For clients who want more than a login, NorthPointe still does what it has always done best:

Advisory. Government relations and business development consulting: representation, positioning, capture strategy, and pursuit support for companies navigating Florida's public sector.
Budget and appropriations analysis. Line-by-line analysis of where the money is moving, the same work that powers Proviso's Budget Analysis.

How we work

Practitioners first.

We show working software

Demos run on live instances, never slideware. If we can't show it running, we don't sell it.

We build what we know

Every product started as work we did by hand for clients. The intelligence is opinionated because it came from practice.

We answer to the record

Public work is judged in hindsight, so everything we ship assumes an auditor, a records request, and a headline.

Let's talk

See working software before you see a slide.

Tell us the workflow you're trying to modernize, or the market you're trying to win. We'll show you a live instance built for how you actually operate.
